Elijah's reflection

On Wednesday we took a trip to another orphanage/ child care center in Maseru. This is Elijah's reflection of our visit there.

"It was very very very poor and unsafe for kids. Because the playground equipment and the beds did not look safe to me. There was no grass like Beautiful Gate. The place where the older kids swam was very unsafe and deep for the little children. There was no fence around it so the little kids could get in there easily and drown. The playground was more for older children and not younger children but Beautiful Gate's is for young children. One thing that was different that they had was pigs, roosters, and maybe chickens.
The kids looked very dirty and sad. Because they did not have a family, that is why they were sad. They also had older kids too. I did not see any people supervising the kids except the older kids. It made me feel that orphanage was unsafe. I felt very sad for the kids there. I thought the kids were nice. I hope that that orphanage can get more money and more people who can supervise the kids."
