Habakkuk's Reminder

After yesterday's experience, I was still been a bit emotional today. Mostly this morning when I read emails and comments from my friends and family. That meant so much to me. I needed to hear encouragement, sympathy, righteous anger, etc, so thank you.
I do not understand anymore today than I did yesterday about why this boy has to suffer, or why any other bad thing has to happen to innocent and undeserving people. But I do know this, God is GOOD. He is still worthy of my praise and worship. He can turn this into something even better, something I could never even imagine so.... To me the situation may look hopeless but not to God. He will restore joy.

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength...
(Habakkuk 3:17-19a)
